Telstra HTC desire Unlock and Rom guide

T-Mod, Short for TelstraMod, is a small modification of two popular Custom ROMs (Lee’s LeeDrOiD and Paul’s MoDaCo MCR) for Android Powered HTC Desire Mobile Phones, Namely, the Telstra Branded A8183 Model.

Telstra use User Agent String locking for their handsets to specify compatible handsets for Telstra Bigpond services, such as:

• Bigpond Mobile “Green Dot” Unmetered content
• Telstra Data Usage Tool
• Mobile Foxtel
• Bigpond App Store (Android Market is not affected)

T-Mod modifies the UAString Values to match those of Telstra’s, allowing access.
